The current method of system storage for CCTV media is via a digital video recorder with hard drive recording and a DVD/USB back up of the CCTV images. These images can also be viewed remotely over the internet. The CCTV recording is continuous, so there is no need to change tapes, instead the CCTV unit can be set to store images from one week up to a full year!
